Ideas Taxonomy
Work Areas
Projects are subdivided in five main areas of interest/skill, corresponding to abstract thinking, look & feel, underlying technology, communication and real product.
- Research: start a project or one of its branches from scratch, collect information and develop it. Apply new concepts to existing products, or apply existing concepts to new products. Select features to enhance or to drop. Write down heuristics, proofs of concept, algorythms.
Be our deus ex machina. - Design: all that convoys to user interfaces and sensorial experience (even tactile!), real media included.
Yes, we all know that designers can do everything with cheap hardware and pirate software. - Coding: no need to explain this.
Sit in your chair, and enchant the world with your poetry. - Marketing: public relations, product launch and strategy. Raise funds milking money from all the fat cows out there.
Without this, only the strenght of an open source community can keep something alive. - Arts & Crafts: create real media and tangible objects by hands.
In brief, all the small things that only artists can do.
